EU economic crisis will not affect trade between Holland and Peru

Under the "Forum and Business Round on Dutch Experience in the Maritime-Port" organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Lima (CCL) and the Dutch Embassy in Peru, Giovanni Van Der Lugt, who is in charge of the country's foreign affairs said that the European economic crisis would not affect trade between the two countries.

"On the contrary, it will enhance investment intentions in Peru, especially in the services and agro-export sector, which have grown steadily in recent years," he said.

On the other hand, he indicated that the presence of nine shipping ports, Dutch logistics and engineering companies, with the "desire" to have operations in Peru and to support environmental and soil studies, is the best expression for the cooperation and economic development between Peru and Holland.

Finally he said the delegation would visit the Salaverry port, in the region of La Libertad and would hold another business round in Trujillo, as part of their recognition activities on the Peruvian market and the benefits that it can offer to foreign investment.
