Russia: 21st edition of WorldFood Moscow set for 18% growth

Russia’s leading food and drink exhibition, WorldFood Moscow is set to grow by 18% compared to 2011, as an increasing number of international and local companies participate to demonstrate their products to specialist buyers attending the event. The exhibition takes place on 17th-20th September 2012, Expocentre, Moscow, Russia.

For the first time in 2012, Portugal will be exhibiting at the event, to demonstrate the best of Portuguese produce available to the Russian market. India has the largest presence to date at the exhibition with the ITPO (International Trade Promotion Organisation) joining the event. New exhibitors from India this year include: Al Noor Exports, Ravi Foods and A.Tosh & Sons Limited, who will join national groups from over 50 countries including Sri Lanka, Italy, France, Germany and Poland.

WorldFood Moscow is divided into nine sectors ensuring visitors can easily find products of interest, compare them and talk to their manufacturers. The organisers are pleased to welcome the Chilean Fresh Fruit Association as the sponsor of the 'Fruit & Vegetables Sector'. The exhibition also features a dedicated Seafood Hall so suppliers are situated in one convenient place for buyers to conduct their negotiations.

Tony Higginson, Head of Sales, ITE Group commented: "WorldFood Moscow is an important route to market for international exhibitors to develop their business in the Russian market. Over four days companies can directly meet buyers and showcase their products within a business environment. Now in its 21st annual edition the event is well established and is a must attend exhibition for the industry. We are pleased that the event continues to grow as companies realise the importance of participating."
