Zespri kiwifruit hitting North American first week June

Zespri Kiwifruit has announced its Green, Gold and Organic varieties will be available to North American consumers through major retailers the first week of June. North America will see similar volumes as last year in their three varieties: Green having a delicious, tangy-sweet flavor, Gold having a mellow, tropical-sweet flavor, and Organic providing a niche offering to meet the demands of quality, organic kiwifruit for those discerning consumers.

Throughout its 2012 season, Zespri will be providing nutrition facts, new health studies, and fun food and beverage recipes. Zespri will also be expanding its in-store sampling, trade and consumer ads, as well as Zespri’s digital presence in several new transmedia communities. Zespri high-impact birdbath shippers and POSM will feature QR codes, allowing consumers to use their smartphones to obtain information about New Zealand’s kiwifruit.
