Fire breaks out at warehouses in Valencia

On Thursday a big warehouse of oranges burned a few kilometres from the South of Valencia. The fire occurred in a warehouse belonging to the company Fontestad, which is a distributor of citrus in Spain and Europe with a production capacity of 110,000 tons per year.

At the time of the fire 250 employees were in the building, two men and a woman suffered minor burns. A total of 45,000 square meters was hit by fire. A thick black plume of smoke was observed even in the centre of Valencia.

The cause of the fire is still uncertain.
