Italy: Cherry season starts at Bragantini company

The Italian company Bragantini Marco e figli snc is specialized in the production and packaging of cherries (in summer) and apples (in winter).
At the moment the company is busy with harvesting and marketing of the first early cherries Bigarreaux. As the owner Danila Bragantini says: "The production in the area of Verona has started early, while in the area of Bari it has begun later. In this way we are now all on the market at the same time!"

The climate conditions of the last months were ideal and a product with excellent features and good size is expected. "It is too early to make a prediction about the production of main cultivars such as Duroni, More and Ferrovia," Danila continues. "However, the season in the area of Verona should continue till the last weeks of June, thanks to elevated plants that will be in production later."

The company Bragantini owns BRC, GlobalGAP, ISO, HACCP and traceability certifications.
