Brazil: Hail destroys bananas

Farmers taken by surprise with a hail storm.

Almost two days after the storm that devastated the municipality of Trajano de Moraes, Brazil, a farmer still finds hail stones in the fields.

Because of the storm, considered by Civil Defense one of the biggest registered in the region, the banana cultivation will have to be cut. There are about 20,000 feet of banana trees in the soil, a damage that caught many farmers by surprise.

After the storm, farmers expect some kind of Government help.
