Mooy Logistics and Harmsen & De Groot announce merger

NL: HDG Services now in operation

Dutch logistics company Mooy Logistics, specialised in transport and warehousing in the area of fruits, vegetables, flowers, plants and other perishable products, together with Expertisebureau Harmsen & De Groot, specialised in surveys and quality controls of fruits and vegetables, have joined forces as of 1st May 2012 in establishing their subsidiary company HDG Services.

The aim of HDG Services is to combine the widespread experiences of both companies in the fields of Quality Control and Logistics & Packaging in order to provide full service to existing and new customers. Focussing especially on professionalising all of these areas, services such as transport, storage, prepackaging and quality control of perishables can this way be combined under one roof and outsourcing becomes unnecessary.

Mooy Logistics B.V. has crossdock centres in Waddinxveen and Breda, the Netherlands, with a cooling capacity of around 12,000 pallets. HDG Services is established in Waddinxveen and will be managed by Leander van Bellen, member of the Dutch institute of registered surveyors (NIVRE). Being a registered surveyor, van Bellen has longterm experience in the area of fruits and vegetables. Together with his colleagues Hans Troost and Marco Smits he will take care of quality inspections and surveys on incoming and outgoing goods.
