US: Maxwell Chase announces new MCT 25
Building on its success in supplying slicers for the tomato market, the MCT 25 Slicer has been modified and upgraded to slice onions, while retaining the ability to slice tomatoes. The machine is easy to load and is fully integrated with a Pick & Place, which allows more than one operator to load increasing productivity. The MCT 25 removes and collects the unwanted end pieces while placing the premium slices neatly in the tray.
"The MCT 25 was upgraded to slice onions in response to requests from our customers, who love the reduction in labor costs and increase in yield that they get from our machines when slicing tomatoes" said Tom Gautreaux, National Sales Director, Maxwell Chase Technologies.
The MCT 25 Automated Slicer slices six tomatoes or onions per cycle, yielding seven premium slices per tomato or onion – which is 42 slices per cycle. When running at a minimum speed of over 10 cycles per minute the yield of the MCT 25 slicer is over 1,500 lbs. per hour.
The MCT 25 Automated Slicer integrates with Maxwell Chase Technologies "Fresh-R-Pax" super absorbent trays, resulting in a dramatic improvement in shelf life of up to 14 days for sliced tomatoes.
