Robert Vogel, Vogel AGF:

NL: French cauliflower prices reasonably good

"At the moment there is a good demand in the cauliflower market and reasonably high prices. This is mainly thanks to the fact that there is less available in the market" Robert Vogel of Vogel AGF explains.
"The Spanish season is almost over and the Dutch has not started as yet. Therefore it is only France which is in the market. They have the most regular supply."

According to the open ground specialist of the Best Price Group cauliflowers are sold at reasonable prices. "The price is about 8/9 Euro for six." Robert tells that the most important customers are mainly local retailers. "The export is at a low level at the moment and will start again when the Dutch cauliflowers are available. He expects these in May. The supply from France will last till about the end of May and then the Dutch new ones are also on the market."
