IGP-label for melon from Guadeloupe

The melon from Guadeloupe has received the IGP certification. With this label (Indication of Geographical Protection) the origin of the melon has been certified. The harvest of the melon form Guadeloupe, which is done by hand, takes place from January to May. They are the first melons on the French market stalls. Characterized by their soft, striped skin, their pleasant odour, and sweet orange flesh, they are a real temptation. At this link you can find French recipes for this melon.
