HZPC Holland takes over all shares from HZPC-Kantaperuna

The seeding potato company HZPC-Kantaperuna AB started as a joint venture between two seeding potato companies Pohjoisen Kantayhtiö from Finland (60%) and HZPC from Holland (40%). Recently HZPC bought the remaining 60% of the shares of Kantaperuna. As a result of this HZPC-Kantaperuna will be continued as 100% part of HZPC Holland.

HZPC is a leading seed potato company with associates in various European countries on other continents. HZPC grows and owns potato varieties that are produced and sold worldwide by various seed potato growers in around 80 countries.

Pohjoisen Kantayhtiö (previously known as Kantaperuna) is a Finnish company and is active in Finland in seed potatoes and during the last few years also in the value chain of potatoes, such as the consumption potato trade and potato processing in Finland.

The joint venture was started 5 years ago with the combined and complimenting knowledge of both companies. Due to the strong developments within Kantayhtiö and the focus of HZPC on seeding potatoes, both companies decided on the shares sell.

HZPC-Kantaperuna will, as before, continue and this change in ownership has no consequences for suppliers, customers, or employees. HZPC-Kantaperuna has access to a large portfolio of innovative potato varieties through HZPC, meant for various goals of which come are very suitable for the Swedish market.
