Dutch herb season early at De Kruidenaer

At the Kruidenaer in Etten-Leur the Dutch herb season started a few weeks
ago. "Our products are available earlier than previously, because we grow more herbs such as curled parsley, dill, coriander, flat parsley and celery under glass. Also we have grown herbs in tunnels since last year and these herbs we expect to harvest next week" Jacqueline Monden says.

De Kruidenaer combine cultivation of herbs under glass with open ground growing. According to Jacqueline the demand for herbs has been good from the start of the season. "Easter traditionally causes more turnover and we are now nicely busy. From the side of the retail there is a good demand for rosemary, thyme, curled parsley and cutting celery."
