"Because of the decision by the Bundesrat the opportunity has been created to control the present controlling companies better. Therefore it will still be more difficult in future to commit fraud with organic products" Peter Bleser of the Ministry of Agriculture says.
Because of the rules being issued the quality and the efficiency of the control system can be improved. "The new regulation is a consistent control system, which is necessary in a growing market becoming more and more complicated. The aim is to supply controls of the best quality in the future as well."
The fixed regulation contains minimum requirements, which are to be complied with by private establishments. Thanks to the new rules risk classification will also become possible.
