Netherlands: Ambassador Malta visiting Jansen-Dongen
Earlier this month the first Maltease potatoes of the variety Derby arrived at Jansen-Dongen, The Netherlands. Thursday 22 March the ambassador of Malta, Martin Valentino, together with consul Herman Stevens came to have a look at the potatoes of the variety Derby and of course to taste. "The ambassador immediately felt at home again because this really had the Malta taste", Toos Jansen explainss.

The import of Malta potatoes will be extended further till May. The ambassador discussed with director Adriaan Jansen the possibility to import onions from Malta and the re-export of potatoes from the Netherlands to Scandinavian countries.
Jansen-Dongen supply potatoes, carrots and onions to supermarket chains in the Netherlands and Germany.
