Kay Bee Exports set to offer top quality Okra from India

Kay Bee Exports, an Indian fresh fruits and vegetable exporter, has inaugurated its newly built state-of-the-art Okra handling facility in Maharashtra.

Kay Bee Exports has its own Global GAP certified farming operations in Ahmednagar and Satara districts of the state of Maharashtra. It has also trained outgrowers near its own farms to use the same GAP (Good Agriculture Practices) and supply Okra round-the-year. A lot of care is taken in growing the Okra in a safe and environmentally-friendly way. Numerous Integrated Pest Management systems are used to ensure minimum usage of chemicals. Both traditional practices and modern know-how are synchronized on the farm.

Okra is a crop which needs to be harvested daily. It also faces a lot of pest and disease pressure, especially in the summer months. It is quite challenging to ensure MRL compliance as the post harvest intervals are quite long for many of the traditional chemicals. Kay Bee Exports has specialized in standardizing usage of safe chemicals and supplying safe and certified Okra to the most discerning customers world-wide.

Kay Bee Exports is a market leader for Okra in terms of both quantity and quality. Most of it is destined for the UK and the European continent but Indian organized retailers are also expressing keen interest in safe produce.

Kaushal Khakhar, CEO of Kay Bee Exports has expressed a lot of optimism and is confident that as more information and research on nutritive value of Okra come to light, there will be a pull demand from end-consumers. Recent research seems to indicate a lot of benefit for patients suffering from diabetes.

Kay Bee Exports is an equal opportunity employer and a responsible Okra producer. It ensures minimum wages and fair prices are paid to all the stake-holders in the chain. The opportunity to make a socio-economic impact on the lives of Indian small-holding farmers is greatly cherished by the Kay Bee team.

Kay Bee Exports is currently exploring marketing arrangements in various EU and Asian countries. Apart from traditional strongholds like UK, many countries have started considering India as a strong production base for growing its fruits and vegetables requirements.
