Spain: CASI planning to enter China and India

Agricultural Cooperative San Isidro placed their produce in the most desired markets for their present socio-economic potential. Technicians at CASI are studying the real possibilities to sell their tomatoes in China and India, the two Asian giants, powerful markets, both in terms of population and spending power.

The cooperative with headquarters in San Isidro, recently held their Ordinary General Assembly, in which, they approved every point at the daily order. Among them, the yearly accounts, corresponding to the 2010-2011 exercise.

During his speech, José María Andújar, president of CASI, explained that in future projects there are plans to make the company grow over the coming months. Apart from getting into China and India, the cooperative "has its mind set on the United States and Canada, but in those markets we are dependent on the air transport prices", he said to "Diario de Almeria", reminding that they are developing prospective actions in other countries like Germany, Great Britain and Russia, with positive results until now.
