Mexican papaya shipments have started

The producer from the Pozo Unit "Ch’imay", from Candelaria, indicated that from now onwards the maradol papaya exportation to the US will be dealt with through a company in Yucatan which contacted American buyers.

17 tons of maradol papaya were sent to the US and there will now be weekly shipments, said the producer.

Regarding the price of the maradol papaya that will be exported it is unknown to Tep Uxul, although he said it would be more than four pesos, similar to sale of the product in the markets of Merida and Cancun.
