Macfrut: Positive results in Hungary and Israel

The push to internationalization is one of the activities for which Macfrut is considered "open the whole year".

Macfrut, the Italian international fruit and vegetable sector trade fair taking place in Cesena from 26th to 28th September, 2012, is the major trade fair in the Mediterranean Sea basin and it is a real platform between northern and southern countries, between Europe, Africa and Middle East.

Another important confirmation about this comes from Hungary. "In Budapest for the first time we had the possibility of introducing Macfrut to the Hungarian operators of the major fruit and vegetable association, Fruitveg. I explained the opportunities offering our fair to the sector and the whole chain. After the discussions, we received the confirmation of attendees about the strong interest in participating at Macfrut", Luigi Bianchi, Macfrut coordinator, underlines.

"After several years when Hungarian operators were only visitors, finally they want to participate with their own stand. This because they like Macfrut format; it combines fair and technical guided visits, extremely important in terms of training and innovation. The same format is expected in 2012."

In the worldwide scenario, an important position is covered by Israel that has advanced horticulture and agro-industrial sector with a strong expansion capacity, despite it is a small country. For this reason Valentina Piraccini of Macfrut International Office attended the Agromashov fair in Tel Aviv.

Also this was a step of Macfrut internationalization program, including the presence at the major sector events of 'Made in Italy' companies and operators (under the Macfrut umbrella), interested in a direct relationship with the country where fair is held.

The participation at Agromashov, in collaboration with Emilia-Romagna region, gave the opportunity to see at work the Italian embassy in Israel and the Israel-Italy Trade Chamber in preparing an official visit of a delegation at Macfrut. Italian technologies and produce recorded a great interest during Agromashov fair and this represented a further advantage.
