For five years now The Greenery together with Bayer CropScience have worked in various international Food Chain Partnership Projects and aim at a cultivation program, in which high quality products are grown by using plant protection means in the best way possible. Various programs have been started, amongst which is one at the Spanish strawberry grower Alfonseca. This week the first Natural Delight strawberries of the new season and grown in the Food Chain Partnership Projects were delivered to Hagé International, The Greenery.

Bayer CropScience guide the Spanish grower Alfonseca with the further sustainability of the strawberry cultivation. In addition to optimising the use of plant protection means this season, attention was also paid to the reduction of water, waste and energy. The Greenery looks after the sale and marketing of the product. José María Martín, agronomist at Alfonseca: "We have been working together for a number of years with The Greenery and Bayer CropScience in strawberry cultivation. We are very positive about this, because we see an important improvement in quality and the effort of plant protection. There is a clear protocol and the support is first class. Natural Delight
With the applied methods there is no concession to the quality of the strawberries. The quality of the product is of the highest importance. Residue analyses show a reduction in the level and number of active matter with the strawberry growers in the Bayer Food Chain Partnership Project. These strawberries can be recognized by the Natural Delight label and are only available from The Greenery. The strawberries are available in packs of 16 x 250 grs and 10 x 500 grs. It is expected that the Natural Delight strawberries will be available till week 15.
