New subsidiary for LTV in Norway

Last week the Limburgse Tuinbouwveiling was at Fruit Logistica as a stall holder for the first time. "Since January we have a had a new subsidiary Elsanta in Norway", says Petra Wautraets, commercial manager. "LVT already had a subsidiary in Sweden now has another in a different Scandinavian country. This way we have a full supply of strawberries."

An important pillar for LTV is the strawberry, which is supplied all year round. "At the moment they're coming from Spain and soon we will switch back Belgium", indicates Petra. "If there isn't enough, they're imported from other countries. It's good that the seasons in Norway and Sweden correspond so perfectly with the Belgian high season and that we can switch back to Belgian strawberries right after."

The Limburgse Tuinbouw Veiling is a grower cooperation of fruit and vegetable growers. The buyers are mainly exporters, wholesalers, wholesale distribution, local retailers and market traders, industry and importers. They are from countries like Sweden, Norway, Denmark, France and Germany. LTV has three subsidiaries LTFresh, Elsanta Norway and Elsanta Sweden.
