Italy: Demand for quality packages grows on foreign markets
FP - How has the geographical composition of foreign customers of Graziani changed?
MG - In the view of a process of increasingly important internationalization for the company development, Graziani Packaging tried to turn its attentions to Mediterranean and European markets.
Still now its main goal is to consolidate and increase its presence in these areas, serving central-northern Europe and Mediterranean countries from the Italian head office and western Mediterranean countries from the Spanish office near Valencia.

In the last years, the attention on export has expanded and moved to new markets. We are focused in particular on eastern European areas and Latin America where we are getting positive feedback and results.
FP - Which are the more requested products/solutions?
MG - We offer packaging solutions for agro-food and industrial sectors. In particular we are specialized in production and sale of needed and decisive materials for protecting goods during small, medium or long transport and goods moved on pallets. All the materials are marked from highest quality and resistance in the whole logistic chain.

FP - Which new foreign customers have you surprised more?
MG - Undoubtedly Latin American countries. Often people think packaging materials cannot overcome the long transoceanic distances. On the contrary, the increasing demand of our products, such as Magic CornerĀ® (Kraft paper edgeboards V and U-shaped for manual and automatic use) and Magic StrapĀ® (Top-quality polypropylene strapping to guarantee the stability of our pallets), means that the high quality of the packages, together with a good service, competitive prices and timely responses in marketing and production, is always rewarded.

FP - Which foreign markets gave you greater satisfaction?
MG - Latin American and eastern Europe countries. In these macro-areas we signed important agreements where we have operated already for years and forged partnerships in promising new markets for us.
FP -If you had to open a new Graziani office abroad in the future, which country would you choose?
MG - To open a new office in a country it is necessary to operate in that area for a time and to know deeply its strengths and weaknesses. Now we cover the western Mediterranean countries from our Spanish office and the rest of Europe thanks to the Cesena-based head office.

It is clear and natural that the next step could be to create an office in southern-eastern Mediterranean area, in particular in Middle East where we have operated successfully for years. This could be also used as platform for supplying more distant markets.
Graziani Packaging will be at Ipack-Ima 2012 (Milan, 28th February - 3rd March, 2012), Hall 9 / Stand C 86.
