Portugal: Fruits and vegetables exports to grow 10%

Exports of Portuguese fruits and vegetables will grow 10% in the next two years, reaching a thousand million Euro, announced the minister of Agriculture, Assunção Cristas, at the biggest exhibition of fruits and vegetables - Fruit Logistica 2012 - in Berlin, according to governmental sources.

This value shows the "sector dynamics", affirmed the minister.

Portugal was present at the fair with more than 40 companies associated to Portugal Fresh, an association defined by Assunção Cristas as "a fine example of professionalism and sector addition", giving "visibility" and "creditability to the national brand".
