Second season ReduFuse successful at EuroFresh
During the winter of 2010-2011 EuroFresh was successful when trying out ReduFuse. "The diffuse coating of Mardenkro resulted in a noticeable increase in the production of tomatoes on an area of 1 HA": according to Barry Zuidgeest of Mardenkro. As a result EuroFresh decided to treat the entire hothouse in Arizona with ReduFuse this winter. Kees Rodenburg, general manager at EuroFresh says: "Redufuse comes up to the expectations we have. We are very satisfied. Redufuse fits in with our cultivation strategy of the coming years.
Continue to learn
Despite the experiences EuroFresh are learning more every day about how to work with ReduFresh. The vegetable company this year has tested the coating on other vegetable varieties as well. "Because of the dark weather in the month of January, which is an exception in the region, the plants are to be kept under control when using ReduFuse." The coating will remain on the 130 HA glasshouses for another few weeks, but will be replaced in the spring.
