US: CMI announces arrival of 2012 KANZI apple crop
U.S. grown Kanzi Apples are hitting U.S. markets beginning in mid-February. Favorable growing conditions have produced a high quality 2012 crop which is being packed now in Washington by CMI.
Mike Wade, co-owner of CMI and owner of Columbia Fruit Packers and sub-licensed Kanzi partners Applewood Orchards, exclusively grow Kanzi apples the U.S. The Wade family grows apples, pears and cherries and wine grapes in the beautiful Columbia River Valley in Washington State. Kanzi was originally developed in the European market by Greenstar Kanzi Europe (GKE) and has features from parents, Gala and Braeburn apple varieties.
The Kanzi apple is very full flavored with perfect sweet-tart balance. The Kanzi is a very attractive with excellent aroma and a very intense flavor. Prepare your taste buds for a truly intense flavor experience!
