The apples are specially prepared months before for this event. It all starts in summer when the apples are carefully selected for the process, the messages ‘I love you’, Kocham Cię (in Polish), or я люблю тебя (in Russian). Genesis Fresh does apples with other messages such as “Merry Christmas” or “Happy New Year”.
"We use red varieties of apples, that is," explains Jan Nowakowsk, "Jonagored, Red Jonaprince, De Costa or Elise as they tend to be the most suitable varieties for the above-mentioned purposes. Each year, around 5-6 trucks are sold on contract and there are a 1-2 truck full left to be purchased on free consignment just before February. Most of the volume is contracted and it has already attracted several long-standing, loyal clients who come back for those special apples every year".
