Chile the main destination

Peruvian fresh lime exports obtain a 45% increase

Fresh lime exports from Peru had a 45% increase in 2011, with Chile being the main destination.

Its USD$ 1.5 million at an average price, which is going up, by USD$ 0.74 kilo average.

Chile is our main destination with USD$ 1.3 million (86% of the total), Panama USD$ 79,000 (5%) and the United States USD$ 65,000 (4.9%).

There are 16 countries that receive Fresh lime from Peru.



Piura Limes lead sales with USD$ 918,000 (58% of total), Carmen Hidalgo Exports USD$ 110,000 (7%) and AB & B GROUP with USD$ 86,000 (5%). There are 31 exporters of fresh Peruvian limes (Limon Fresco Peru).
