Hong Kong: Greenpeace warns of pesticides in fruit and veg

The environmental group, Greenpeace, says it's found traces of dangerous pesticides in fruit and vegetables taken from supermarkets in Hong Kong and Guangdong. It says 47 of 51 samples tested positive for pesticides, while seven samples contained chemicals that are banned on the mainland.

Greenpeace campaigner Kate Lin said that while the concentration of the pesticides isn't high, consumers should still wash their produce very carefully as even low amounts of some chemicals can have significant health effects.
