Korea: Dole apple slices use Chungju apples

The Chungju-si region in Chungcheong-buk-do is a major producer of delicious apples. It possesses good conditions for apple cultivation - a wide range of daily temperatures and a lot of sunshine. The apples grown here have a higher sugar content and better color and fragrance than the fruits from other areas. The firm texture is yet another strong point. Recently, the Korean branch of Dole, the world’s largest producer and marketer of fresh fruits and vegetables, has released a new product - “Dole apple slices” - made with Chungju apples.
