UK: Tript toHolland to boost grower's LED knowledge

Horticultural energy consultancy GrowSave has organised a trip to the Netherlands next week to acquaint British growers with the use of LEDs in commercial growing, ranging from salad vegetables and herbs to flowers. Among the sites to be visited will be Vreugdenberg in the Westland region, which is developing multi-layer LED-lit systems for young plants, pea shoots and lettuce.

Also on the itinerary is nearby GreenQ's Improvement Centre, which is researching the use of LEDs in tomato growing. The tour is open to Horticultural Development Company members and runs on 19-20 January. Transport within Holland is provided but delegates are required to make their own travel and food arrangements.
