Ibis is an import-export fruit and vegetable agency founded by Isabella Tebaldi in 1994: main products are cherries, clementines, soft fruit, kiwifruit, apples, pears, peaches and nectarines, grapes, potatoes and vegetables, and more.
For those who know the difficulties women often have in the employment world, Ibis represents a virtuous example of professionalism achieved by women: sense of duty, responsibility, organizational skills, overall vision, tenacity and creativity.
Isabella collaborated with Alma Wisselink, Dutch by birth, and over the years the staff has been enriched by other expert and competent members. By chance only women work in the company and they are real professional ones.

No limits
Ibis clients are from the whole Europe, with three target areas: Spain, UK and eastern European countries. Thank to the fact Ibis is supplying many countries, a complete vision is offered to clients who can count on a detailed scheduling.
"The first rule that Alma and I established is to follow only a few clients, but to follow them entirely" Isabella says. Choosy and elitist, they prefer to devote their energies to selected clients, developing with them large scale projects and not fragmenting efforts in smaller projects.
This choice was successful: now Ibis boasts some historical clients in daily activities of marketing, knowing their structure, organization, needs and potential.
Analysing their work, Isabella and Alma do not forget the importance of marketing offices that, thanks to available professional people, support and make Ibis' activities easier. From this the desire of prolonging and deepening entrepreneurs' collaboration has also born; it is not important if they are big or small, it is important that they have the right mentality to go on together for a long time.

Routine fear?Isabella and Alma did not rest on their laurels and, few years after the foundation of Ibis, the service agency Isma was born.
Representative office of English firm "Peter Gilding & Co", that uses Isma for its purchases of Italian fruit and vegetables destined to the English market, is also the sole agent in Italy with regard to technologies for temperature's monitoring on "Logtag recorders" refrigerated transport.
And that is not all. The good trade and human relationship, set up by years of satisfactory work, with some Middle East clients in Persian Gulf and North Africa areas, stimulated the establishment of Marcolivier, a marketing company specialized in fruit sales.
Founded with the aim of exporting Italian fresh fruit under the brands Villa Marco and Amahoro, its main target markets are Brazil, Colombia, Argentina, Mexico, South-East Asia, Singapore, etc.
Fruit and vegetables come from the most important Italian producing regions, Piedmont, Trentino South Tyrol and Emilia-Romagna, allowing an ongoing supply of Italian kiwifruit, peaches and nectarines, apples, plums and grape, purchased exclusively for export.
"We buy quality fruit from small producers or big companies without exceptions or preconceptions, after asking them their permit to sell the products under our brands" Alma says.
It should be noted that the three companies work in an ethical way, with the greatest respect for suppliers and clients and a huge sense of responsibility.
