Press Conference to highlight CPS cantaloupe food safety meeting

Produce Marketing Association and the Center for Produce Safety (CPS) will host a joint press conference call for Thursday, Jan. 12, to share information from the CPS’s Cantaloupe: Food Safety Priorities meeting being held Wednesday, Jan. 11, in San Diego. CPS’s meeting has been organized as an invitation-only, working event to address key objectives regarding food safety guidance, standards and technologies surrounding cantaloupe.

Join us at the press call to hear from Stephen Patricio, president of Westside Produce and chair of the Center for Produce Safety Advisory Board, Dr. Bob Whitaker, chief science & technology officer for Produce Marketing Association and chair of the Center for Produce Safety Technical Committee, and Bonnie Fernandez-Fenaroli, executive director of the Center for Produce Safety, as they recap Wednesday’s events in San Diego and outline what to expect for the future of cantaloupe food safety.
