China: Asian Citrus winter orange crop up 19.4%

Asian Citrus's total winter orange crop yield from its two operational plantations was approximately 171,607 tonnes - 19.4% up on 2010. The crop from the group's Hepu plantation dropped by 11.1% to approximately 44,906 tonnes due to the ongoing replanting programme.

But the crop from the Xinfeng plantation increased by 36% to 126,701 tonnes. In the year to 30 June 2011, sales of winter oranges generated 54.6% of the revenue from sales of oranges.
