US: CHEP named to food logistics top 100 list for 2011

CHEP USA was named to Food Logistics magazine's FL 100 for the fifth consecutive year. Food Logistics magazine's FL 100 list represents the top 100 technology and logistics solution providers to the food, beverage, and consumer packaged goods industry and includes companies that "focus on the unique needs of companies in the food supply chain." The FL 100 list is compiled based on input from readers, industry analysts and consultants.

CHEP issues, collects, conditions and reissues about 300 million pallets and containers from a global network of service centers, helping manufacturers and growers transport their products to distributors and retailers. The company handles pallet and container supply chain logistics for customers in the consumer goods, produce, meat, home improvement, beverage, raw materials, petro-chemical and automotive industries. CHEP services are based on a unique combination of customer-driven operating solutions, quality products, sophisticated control systems and a well-managed global service center infrastructure, which enables its customers to reduce the need for capital expenditures and concentrate their day-to-day operations on their core business competencies.

"The team at CHEP is honored to be included in the Food Logistics for a fifth straight year. During the last five years we have improved the quality of our pallets and made our service offering even more robust to have a greater impact on the bottom lines of our customers. We plan to continue this approach for then next five years and beyond," said David Deal, Senior Director of Marketing at CHEP USA.
