Aussie mangoes enjoy Christmas at MADD

MADD, is the UK’s first dessert and drinks lounge dedicated to the “King of Fruits” and will use Australian Kensington Pride mangoes for the first time this year. To celebrate this and coinciding with the Australian tradition of gifting mangoes at Christmas, MADD gave away Australian mangoes to the first 100 people who came into the dessert lounge on Tuesday, 20th December and Saturday 24th December. The lucky recipients were greeted by a pair boxing kangaroos to get them into the Aussie Christmas spirit!

MADD, which opened its doors to savoir-faire Soho diners on December 5th, is delighted to announce a partnership with Manbulloo Ltd the largest grower of Kensington Pride mangoes in Australia. The mangoes are often used alongside savory meals and in condiments such as mango chutney and mango mayo, so as not to let any of the sweet fruit go to waste. Harvested in Australia from late September to February, the mangoes will be the MADD mango of choice over the Christmas season. These mangoes complement MADD’s dedication to providing its customers with exotic and nutritious fruit of the highest calibre.

In a location renowned for its effervescent semblance, Rupert Street, Soho, is the perfect setting to introduce this Eastern concept to the West. Open and serving from the early hour of 7am until late during the week, MADD is the ultimate dessert destination that provides a worldly and exotic experience right in the centre of the vibrant area of Soho.

Manbulloo Kensington Pride mangoes have also been sold in Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Asda and Morrisions from October to December as part of the premium exotic range.
