Mango producers from the southern part of the state are about to sign a contract with Canadian marketers to sell them six, 22-ton containers, i.e. more than 1540 tons of mango in bulk and in pulp.
According to estimates, the contract will be signed next week when the Canadian entrepreneurs will visit Sinaloa to finish the deal. The only remaining issue that needs to be defined is the price and producers expect it will be, at least, 7 pesos per kilo, stated the President of the municipality's FDPAS, Oscar Delgado Rendon.
He said that part of the deal included the organic mango production crops that are being harvested in the south, as it was paid in dollars.
Delgado Rendon said they expected to sign the deal on December 26 within the framework of the National Congress of fruit growers, which would be held on that date, and that they were also seeking to do business with other countries to export different products from Sinaloa.
