Fruity postage stamps

The Chinese Postal Service has published a special set of 4 stamps called "Fruit One". The stamps show apples, peaches, pomegranate and kumquat. The whole set costs 5.40 RMB. The stamps are printed with a special fragrant ink. When brushed lightly with the hand, they release a unique fruity aroma.

One staff member of the postal service explains that, the "Fruity" collection is the first in several years to touch upon the theme of fruit. The stamp design uses a hyper-realistic method to portray the apples, peaches, pomegranate and kumquat. The paintings show flourishing green leaves and full-bodied fruits, which give people an impression of the joy and sweetness of life.
