Carrefour and Casino compete over acquistion of Dia France
According to LSA, Carrefour and Casino are fighting over the takeover of Dia's French subsidiary.
An announcement concerning the takeover of the 841 shops with €2.2 billion annual sales could be made in June.
The two retailers have apparently offered between €150-200 million. LSA believes that Casino would be the natural candidate, but it does not mean that Carrefour does not have a chance either. Carrefour split from Dia three years ago, but has since changed bosses and strategy.
