Fruit Growers Tasmania marked National Ag Day on 21 November 2025 with the launch of the latest Seasonal Produce Guide, joined by Primary Industries Minister Gavin Pearce and local fruit growers. Now in its 18th edition, the guide is intended to inform consumers and visitors about seasonal availability and where to buy Tasmanian fresh produce.
Fruit Growers Tasmania President Nic Hansen said the guide connects consumers with growers through farm gates, retail outlets, and farmers' markets. He noted that the summer fruit season is beginning, with strawberries already entering the market and cherries expected from mid-December, followed by raspberries, blackberries, and blueberries in the coming weeks.

Minister Pearce acknowledged the guide's ongoing role for those travelling around Tasmania and seeking locally grown produce. He said fruit and vegetable growers contribute to local communities, regional economies, and access to fresh produce across the state.
Spreyton Cider Co., one of the businesses featured in the guide, has been operating in Spreyton since the early 1900s, originally producing apples and later expanding into beverages and cherry production.
A total of 12,000 printed copies of the guide will be distributed across Tasmania, including at visitor information centres, Spirit of Tasmania ferries, airports, and tourism and hospitality venues. For the 2025/26 season, the guide will also be available in digital format with an interactive map supported by the Tasmanian Government. The publication continues to highlight the Tasmanian Grown brand and the produce supplied by the state's horticulture sector.
