The first volumes of Lovita® plums were sold on the Spanish market at the beginning of November, two years after the first plantings. “Nearly 120 tons have already been sold and the plantings planned over 3 years are 60 hectares. The forecast tonnage for the next two years is 1,000 tons,” according to Fruites Font, which is now an authorized Lovita® distributor.
Xavier Font's initial tests have been confirmed. “The Lovita® trees have adapted to our land very quickly. A Lovita® technician accompanied us every step of the way, from soil preparation to harvesting. Thanks to his expertise and the experience of our teams, we are now starting our first campaign with a well-calibrated and very sweet fruit.”
