In the current marketing season in Ukraine, grapes have become the most expensive imported fruit at $1.57 per kilogram. In second place in terms of import value are “other fresh fruits” and berries at $1.48 per kilogram. This includes strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, mulberry fruit, black currant, white and red currant, gooseberry, cranberry, and blueberry.
Interestingly, this category of goods accounts for the largest share of fruit and berry imports at 52.2%, while grapes account for 27%. In total, Ukraine imported nearly 37 thousand tons of fruits and berries worth $52.9 million this season.
