A first look at the 2023 British Columbia cherry crop

Global Fruit shares its first 2023 crop update from its orchards in British Columbia, Canada.

Creston, B.C. is where Global Fruit has its own orchards with bicolor and red cherries.

The trees are still waiting to wake up and start blooming.  Temperatures remained cool for the first few weeks of April, keeping the beautiful cherry blossoms waiting. Global Fruit believes that the increase in temperature will be in the coming days so that its fields will be painted with flowers.

These Sweethearts are also in the Creston area, with a landscape of mountains with snow.

Hopes are for a full blossom in the first week of May--two weeks later than "normal."

Rainier cherries with covers to protect them from the weather.
