Aamoré: direct-to-consumer brand launch by Indian smallholder farmers

The Konkan Ratnagiri Bhoomi Agro Producer Company has initiated a direct-to-consumer brand, Aamoré, emphasizing the global reach of Indian agriculture and the Alphonso mango, owned by over 300 smallholder farmers. The brand is focused on delivering Alphonso mangoes of the highest quality and freshness internationally. It supports local farmers by equipping them with the necessary tools and knowledge for producing export-grade fruits, including advanced packhouse operations and sophisticated scanning technology to ensure quality and eliminate spongy tissue, alongside comprehensive traceability.

Aamoré Alphonso mangoes are making their global debut, targeting markets in the US, Europe, the UK, Abu Dhabi, and select Indian cities, with availability in the Delhi NCR region through their website aamore.co.in. Ravish Chavan, Chief Programme Officer, highlighted: "Aamoré embodies the innovation and empowerment that we aim to foster in our farming community. It is a testament to the potential of Indian farmers with the right support and resources. By introducing Aamoré to the global market, we are not only offering a premium product but also challenging the traditional boundaries of smallholder farming."
