Customs officers in Bryansk of Belarus found 20 tons of grapes disguised as pavement tiles

A large truck carrying Moldovan grapes was detained by joint efforts of border guards and Bryansk customs officers in the Zlynkovsky district. A total of 20 tons of berries were transported without phytosanitary certificates and other documents, the customs press service reported.

The truck was travelling from Belarus to Moscow. According to the documents, the driver was transporting pavement tiles, but during the inspection of the vehicles, customs officers discovered grapes. Some labels from the crates were torn off, while the rest of the goods were marked with labels indicating the Moldovan origin of the fruits.

The cargo has been handed over to the Russian federal service Rosselkhoznadzor for a decision to be made.
