Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh recently inspected various agricultural production models in Hai Duong. The province, notable for its agro-forestry and aquatic outputs, reported a total value exceeding 22.5 trillion VND for the last year, a 4.08% increase. Hai Duong, with its winter crop dominance, aims for a 2.5% agricultural sector growth by 2024. The PM's tour included hands-on experience with a rice planting machine in Hung Long commune's advanced rice seedling and mechanically sown fields.
Chinh advocated for enhanced mechanization in agriculture, aspiring for Hai Duong to evolve into an eco-friendly and modern rural nexus. His visit also covered an export-driven carrot farming operation in Duc Chinh commune, where he inaugurated the New Year's first carrot export consignment.
He emphasized the importance of cultivating high-value crops adhering to VietGAP standards, carbon footprint reduction, and boosting export efficacy. Additionally, he encouraged the establishment of brand identities, trade promotion, and the facilitation of production and consumption networks among businesses.
