Juliet apple exclusively produced in France keeps on growing internationally

The JulietĀ® apple, which celebrated its 20th anniversary last season, is produced exclusively in France and organically by 190 growers on 700 hectares of land. The bicoloured apple continues to expand both in France and abroad. Its commercial season started mid-October, and shows this year again an increase in marketable volume, with over 10,000 tons sold.

60% of JulietĀ® is distributed on the French market. The remaining 40% is shipped to continental Europe (Ireland, Germany, United Kingdom and Spain) and Asia exclusively by Cardell Export, with the support and strike force of the Innatis Group.

Increase in Juliet international sales
"We are experiencing an increase in sales at this stage of the season. Demand is strong, and we are controlling our capacity to supply, guaranteeing a level of product quality that will enable the fruit to travel over a long period. Thus we are maintaining and developing our positions with our distribution partners. In Europe, demand starts to develop from March/April onwards, but the fruit's good shelf-life enables us to meet this demand in the second half of the season."

In addition to its firmness, European and international consumers are appealed by its taste and consistency. "Customers don't just buy a 100% French and 100% organic apple, they buy a Juliet. The strength of the brand and its quality set it apart from classic bicoloured varieties." The fact that Juliet is available 12 months a year helps build consumer and customer loyalty. And while Juliet is already well-established in many countries, its numerous assets mean that it can now reach new markets, such as Canada and India.

Juliet will be exhibiting at Fruit Logistica in Berlin from February 5 to 7, as well as at Biofach the following week stand 1 - 337 A.
