Pears from Korla County in Xinjiang have been exported to Central Asian countries for the first time

On December 22, a truck loaded with 10 tons of Korla pears passed through the Horgos checkpoint, headed for Kazakhstan. This marks the inaugural export of Korla pears from Xinjiang to Central Asia.

Known for their attractive colour, sweet and juicy taste, thin skin, and crispy texture, Korla pears are a distinctive agricultural product from the Bayingol Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture in Xinjiang.

The deputy general manager of Khorgos Jinyi International Trade (Group) Co., Ltd., Yuan Huang, expressed hopes that this experiment would facilitate more exports of Xinjiang's agricultural products to Central Asian countries. The efficient customs procedures through the Horgos checkpoint and the support of the "Belt and Road" initiative have opened up international markets for agricultural produce.

Horgos continues to innovate in customs regulation, ensuring swift clearance for agricultural products and other goods, contributing to the success of enterprises and overcoming challenges in the process.
