Weekly shipments through Peruvian port of Pisco once again set a record

The Port of Pisco - officially called General San Martin Port Terminal – claims that record shipments were made. This past week, shipments through the General San Martín Port Terminal once again surprised, as a total of 10,293 tons of shipments was recorded, doubling the record previously set. This was almost five times more than the same week last year.

In the past week, two ships again departed from this port, transporting grapes, onions and blueberries and grapes, onions and cocoa respectively.

The two ships exported 7,270 tons of grapes (92 times more than the same week last year), accounting for 71% of all shipments; 2,846 tons of onions (up 36% from 2022), representing 28% of total onions shipped; 113 tons of cocoa (up 43%) with 1.1% share; and 43 tons of blueberries with a 0.4% share.
