Best Fresh is going to further bundle its forces within its trading companies. Market conditions and client wishes are changing rapidly, requiring an efficient working method. To profit optimally from the synergy within this Dutch group, Farmhouse International and Valstar Holland will cooperate more intensively.
With Farmhouse International, Best Fresh imports exotic products year-round via the shortest possible chains. Driven by a sustainable mission, the products are sourced as near as possible and as far as necessary. Farmhouse now includes Yex (exotics), FV Seleqt (mini vegetable specialist), joint ventures such as Avor (avocados), Spot (sweet potatoes), and its own exotics brand 'Discovered'. At the end of this year, Farmhouse will add Valstar, too.
Valstar, A Dutch company with roots in the fruit and vegetable sector dating back to 1928, will adopt Farmhouse's progressive approach. That focuses on a surprising assortment, building strong brands, and sustainable entrepreneurship. Bioworld's activities are largely accommodated by sister company Valstar. Eminent's special products are added to the range from FV Seleqt. “By bundling the range under Valstar and FV Seleqt, we are more efficient organized and we can serve customers better,” says Bas Rensen CEO Best Fresh.
The unique Eminent products will be added to FV Seleqt's range. "With a complete assortment, we can better serve our customers and growers," says Bas Rensen, Best Fresh CEO. "In organic fruits and vegetables with Valstar and unusual vegetables with FV Seleqt."
Best Fresh is preparing for the future in several areas. For example, they will finish implementing a new SAP system this year. "We'll transfer the last of our companies in early December. We'll be more efficient, especially within our logistics companies. That's a major step forward in digitalizing our activities, a crucial advance to meet our buyers' needs," Bas concludes.
These reforms mean some employees will fulfill different roles. Best Fresh could not find positions for a few of them within the new structure. The company informed its customers and business partners of the changes, and starting next year, they can approach Farmhouse International for a complete range of distinctive local and exotic fruits and vegetables.
