Several investors have expressed interested in the assets of Cítrics de Nules

As confirmed by several sources consulted by Castellón Plaza, several investors have expressed interest in taking over the citrus business of the cooperative Citrics de Nules in its facilities of La Plana Baixa. There appear to be offers from "several strong investor groups" whose identity, for the time being, has not been revealed.

Last September, the cooperative announced the start of insolvency proceedings and a temporary suspension of employment for the entire staff; in total, 1,057 people.

For the time being, it remains to be seen whether those employees will fit into any eventual project undertaken by the investors interested in the assets. However, it was published by the media that the door has been opened to the possible outplacement of some workers in other companies in the sector, like Agronostrum, Grupo Llusar Torres or Artanfrut, which have already expressed their willingness to do so.
