India exported US$ 48 mlns-worth of mangoes during April-August

India has seen a significant growth in mango exports in the first five months of the current fiscal year, exporting US$ 47.98 millions-worth of the tropical fruit worth. This is 19 percent higher than the previous fiscal year's value during the same period. According to the government, India has also achieved grand success in the export of Indian mangoes to the United States by registering a growth of 19 percent in comparison to the previous fiscal year.

India also expanded its mango exports to 41 countries and regions, exploring new markets in Iran, Mauritius, the Czech Republic and Nigeria. Officials said APEDA also organized mango promotion programs in collaboration with the missions of India in many countries and regions to promote and increase the export of Indian mangoes.
